April 21st and 22nd – Over the mountains we go.

Moving across Colorado we started at the Western slope thru Rockies across continental divide on to the great plains.  This part of the state is flat, and it’s quite a change from the mountains and rocky terrain we started in.  It’s an easier ride now, nice a flat, not many trucks, much more enjoyable.

We stopped in Sterling, CO for our overnight stay.  This is a small town but had a good selection of places to eat.  At this point in the trip, neither of us feel like eating, AGAIN.  We settled on a brewery, Parts and Labor, it is housed in an old Cadillac dealership, and the owners did a great repurposing lots of the old equipment.  Joey had one of their beers on the menu and said it was pretty good.  They place must be a favorite spot as it was busy.

Back to the hotel we go.  Tomorrow, we head into Nebraska, can’t say I have ever been here, looking forward to an adventure through a new state.

See you down the road.

Did you guys make reservations at all these places or did you just pick them out as you came upon them?

    1. We had a few reservations oh the way out for some places we definitely wanted to stay at. The rest we just figured out along the way! 😁
